CPH:DOX 2015Changing Disasters and X AND BEYOND will be represented at CPH:DOX 2015 with an exciting and diverse program that addresses the cultural, political, poetic and ecological significance of contemporary disasters.

There is No Going Back, 7 November 2015, 11:30 – 13:00
A panel that from multiplie angles challenges contemporary notions of what a disaster is and what it does. Moderated by Jacob Lillemose, curator at X AND BEYOND. Teltet / Ticket.

Katrina Documentary Marathon, 10 November 2015, 10:00 – 18:00
As an appetizer and public preparation for the talk at the screening of the rewarded documentary Trouble the Water by Tia Lee and Carl Deal, X AND BEYOND will screen a series of documentaries on Katrina. X AND BEYOND / Free

The Hellstrom Chronicle (1971), 12 November, 18:30-20:30
Screening of this renowned masterpiece in the mockumentary genre that envisions a future world without humans, taken over by intelligent and violent insects. Introduction by Jacob Lillemose. X AND BEYOND / Free.

Masterclass with Bernie Krause, 13 November, 16:45 – 18:15
Meet the legendary eco-acoustician Bernie Krause, founder of the Wild Sanctuary, and hear him tell about his incredible and enormous repository of recordings of the sounds of our endangered environment. Organized in collaboration with Verdens Skove, Mayhem and The Natural History Museum of Denmark. Cinemateket / Ticket.

Trouble with Water (2008), 14 November, 12:00 – 14:00
Following the screening of Trouble the Water, Jacob Lillemose, curator and X AND BEYOND will join Tilde Siglev, ms.c. in Urban Studies, for a discussion of the film and relate it to other documentaries on Katrina. Cinemateket / Ticket.
