NEEDS 2 - The Second Northern European Conference on Emergency and Disaster Studies
Dates: 17-19 May 2017
We’re thrilled to announce another North European Emergency and Disaster Studies (NEEDS) conference to be held in 2017. Expect four world-class keynote speakers, a path-breaking cooperation with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, who will host NEEDS 3; a track dedicated to practitioners and a series of experiments with the traditional conference formats. So: please block 17-19 May 2017 in your calendar – it will be fun!
|Dorothea Hilhorst is professor of humanitarian aid and reconstruction in disaster and conflict at the International Institute of Social Studies at the Erasmus University in The Hague, NL.|
|Kathleen Tierney is professor of sociology and the former director of the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado Boulder, CO, US.|
|Greg Bankoff is professor of history at the University of Hull, UK.|
|Per Lægreid is professor at the Department of Administration and Organization Theory, University of Bergen.
